Tasty Tuesday...Macaroni & Cheese

                                                Everyday Quaintrelle  Macaroni and Cheese

         As a large family I am constantly in the kitchen. I have come to love cooking and baking. I also understand real food that a family will eat. Here is my favorite Macaroni & Cheese recipe.

Ingredients

*2 tbsp. butter
*2 cups of cream (room temperature)
*1/4 shallot (skin removed)
*1 clove
*1 bay leaf
*a smidge of nutmeg
*salt & pepper to taste

10 ounces of pasta DreamsField Pasta
7 oz of Comte cheese
4 oz of sharp cheddar
1lb of bacon (cooked and crumbled) optional

Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Remove from the heat and allow it to cool for a couple minutes then add cream (nonstop whisking). Place back on stove add shallot, clove, and bay leaf and simmer for 10 minutes. Now whisk in cheese saving a handful to scatter on top.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook pasta according to package.

Drain pasta and place in a large baking dish and pour cheese sauce all over pasta, then stir in bacon till pasta all covered in sauce. Then scatter remaining cheese over top and bake for about 20 minutes when bubbly.
Serve as a side or as main course.  Simple and delicious!
